With a mountain bike along the way

The Olympic region is the first choice for a special mountain summer not only for the ramblers, Nordic walkers and enthusiastic runners. This unique nature landscape of the high plateau with its peaks and valleys has been created for the mountain bikers. No wonder that the legendary running Trans Alp Bike Challenge and also the Deutschlandtour have already been the guests in the region. 

More than 200 kilometers of forest roads and ways, which have been approved according to to the Tyrolean Mountainbike Modell enable the “green light” for the mountain biker almost to the mountain peaks. Instead of the car noise and close damp one enjoys the breathtaking views and fresh mountain air, so that it makes the trips in the charming mountain world to a very special experience.

The unique beat for the ambitious bikers makes the region to a real dorado with its Alpine paradise Gaistal, also one of the possible starting points for a breathtaking round at the mountain peak Zugspitze, the Alpine park Karwendel, the nature preserve Wildmoos with the connection to Mösern and Buchen, and also family-friendly tours, as for instance along the river Leutascher Ache, round the peak Ahrspitze (Leutasch – Scharnitz – Mittenwald - Leutasch) or from Seefeld to Reith.

It is also cared for the perfect stay in between: one can find more than 60 farmed alps and huts in the region and after the exhausting biking tour one may treat him-/herself with the Tyrolean soup Knödelsuppe, that is a perfect possibility, to fill in the energy.
